Welcome to the Venturing/Sea Scouting Web site for the San Diego-Imperial Council. Venturing/Sea Scouting is open to young men and women who are 13 (and have completed the eighth grade) through 20 years of age. Venturing/Sea Scouting provides the skills needed for young adults to make ethical choices, experience a fun program full of adventure and challenges, acquire leadership skills, and to take advantage of opportunities to advance their skills and knowledge in the areas of high adventure, sports, arts, hobbies, religious life and Sea Scouting. COPE Instructor Training
Interested in a job at Mataguay next summer? Level 1 Training will be held March and April of 2016. Level 2 Training will be in October and November of 2016. Level 1 is valid for 1 year and you must be 18 or older. Level 2 training is valid for 3 years and you must be 21 or older. In order to attend the Level 2 training, you must be currently a Level 1 instructor. Contact Paul Hammond at copesguy@gmail.com for more information if you are interested.

High Adventure Team
The High Adventure Team is a resource for your crew! Whether you need a BSA Certified Climbing Instructor, Training for Water Treks, or someone to come to your meeting to give a presentation on Light Weight Backpacking, Caving, or ideas for a super activity - the High Adventure Team is a great resource.
